Do you remember what you were doing twenty years ago on the second of July? I sure don’t. I’ve never been one to keep a journal. Well, until now! Though I doubt I’ll do it publicly after October 10 rolls around.
So, let’s see. I lived in Salinas, California. My kids would have been about 12, 8 and 6. I was selling packaging for Zellerbach and I would’ve been approaching my fortieth birthday. (Geez, I was just a kid!) But I can tell you this: I never would’ve believed in a million years I would live in Boise, Idaho, have five fabulous grandchildren, a community printmaking studio, a basset hound and on my way to my own exhibition in a state I’ve never set foot in.
So right now I’m just wondering where this herder is today and if his wildest dreams have come true?
